Be a star when the caliente rhythm of Spain beats in your heart. It is SER by and with Madrid star Sergio Bernal. A well-rounded fresco of Iberian culture through its dances, ranging between classical ballet and contemporary dance. Difficult, in fact, it turns out, to ascribe Bernal to a single genre. This restless star, born in 1990, after having danced for many years in the Ballet Nacional de España, a prestigious treasure chest that preserves its diverse choreographic traditions and of which he became Primer bailarín, left it to embark on new projects and found the company that bears his name in January 2020. Capable of excelling in both classical ballet and Spanish dances, from the more aristocratic such as Escuela Bolera to the more popular, such as gypsy-born flamenco, to contemporary, Bernal is recognized star among stars. Precisely on the Nouveau stage he presents SER, “being” in Spanish, a show in which he shows his very essence with live music by the Orquesta Cruz Diez, where Antón’s voice stands out, that of cantora Paz de Manuel, Daniel Jurado’s guitar and Javier Valdunciel’s percussion.

Accompanying him on this fascinating and intimate journey, on choreographies signed by himself together with Ricardo Cue, Carlos Romero and José Manuel Álvarez, will be two Spanish dancers, Cristina Cazorla and Carlos Romero, and Ana Sophia Scheller, former Principal dancer of the New York City Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet.
